NEW HORMONES
So Totally Over You
NEW HORMONES
THE NEW SENSATION
NEW HORMONES
HAZARD ZONE
The Dogma Album is made based on a set of rules. The songs must be written in one day and a demo made the same day. The demo is not to be ”improved” upon. The demos are not distributed to the band. The day of actual recording is the first time the band members hear the songs. You get to listen twice, and then you have to cut the track in one or two tries.
All twelve tracks were recorded in two days.
Why? Because fiddling and polishing just ruins music like Powerpop and New Wave. You need a sense of nervousness to balance the simplicity of the songs.
New Hormones is an outfit from Stockholm, Sweden. The band is a set of veteran power-people: Niklas Frisk, Henrik Berglund and Daniel Bengtson are at times in the band Atomic Swing. Nome and Jonas Axmark used to be in the 80’s surfpunk band The Pushtwangers.
JONAS AXMARK
ONLY TAKING CARE OF HIM
Jonas started playing guitar at the age of 12, and became skilled enough to be a hired gun to artists like Thomas DiLeva, Perssons Pack, Olle Ljungström, Orup and Ratata. And of course a string of obscure bands where he was a member. This is his first release as a solo artist.
The ambition is to cut a few tracks where the love for powerpop acts like Tom Petty and Big Star can be heard, with an added twist of americana and 70’s country. You will have a hard time seeing Jonas without a guitar, since he works with his long time passion vintage guitars when he’s not recording or performing.
